To create this expression, the Master Distiller selects fewer than one in every hundred barrels from the inventory. These chosen casks are matured exclusively on the topmost floors of the rickhouses, where intense seasonal temperature swings push the whiskey deep into the toasted-and-charred white oak staves.
Before aging, the spirit undergoes the legendary Lincoln County Process, filtering slowly drop-by-drop through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal to remove any harsh elements. It emerges from its single barrel bottled at 47% ABV (94 Proof)—a step up from the standard flagship proof—preserving a thicker, more viscous body rich with natural oils and wood sugars. Because it bypasses the blending vat entirely, every single barrel bottling delivers slight, thrilling variations in character, making it a premier treasure for high-end spirits catalogs.
